Casanova Casting Couch is a new and fresh show that focuses in-depth on the film and entertainment industry while maintaining laid back conversations.
Liz Casanova and Omaka Omegah met at a non-profit film production company four years ago and their friendship has survived reality-TV-sized drama. Liz is more introverted and has a dark sense of humor. Omaka is a socialite who attracts interesting characters throughout the BigD. Both media ladies love film.
On Casanova Casting Couch, Liz and Omaka review films, interview talent, and sprinkle a little gossip here and there. Monday nights from 9-11 belong to the film geeks, nerds, and die-hard enthusiasts.
Liz Casanova (host)- studied Communications with a concentration in Journalism at Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio, TX. She began her career as editor-in-chief of the university's newspaper, The Lake Front. Liz has worked in film, TV, print, and internet radio. Her first big break was an internship at FOX News 6 in San Diego, California. While opening the studio door one morning, she ran right smack into child-actress Raven Symone. Four years ago she moved back to the Dallas/Ft. Worth and started her own media company, PulpLizard Media. Her blogs include movie reviews, interviews, and thoughts about the film industry. Every year she attends South by Southwest, Dallas International Film Festival, and Video Fest where she has been lucky enough to interview actors, directors and other filmmakers like legendary actors Mickey Rooney and Robert Duvall, famous young actor Wilmer Valderrama (That 70s Show), cinematographer Wally Pfister (The Dark Knight, Inception), and award-winning directors Pete Docter (Up) and John Lee Hancock (The Blindside). When Liz is not hanging out with famous people or taking notes at a screening, she spends time with her husband and daughter.
Omaka Omegah (co-host)- There was a splitting of sorts that created Omaka Omegah. Her birth name, which after many years of being made fun of, she has grown to love. She is an actor, writer, producer, and can chew gum while walking at an excellent rate. She has worked on several commercials, movies, and VJ.
In 2009, Omaka Omegah wanted to try a journalism route working on several shows interviewing regular people about events, all the way to celebrities. She recently partnered to produce two new shows, "D Nites" and "Fabolous Lifestyle." Both are shows about what’s happening in the area, but "Fabolous Lifestyle" is more of an upscale show with celebrity chefs, millionaire plane guys, exotic car, and etc. "D Nites" is mostly about the night life of Dallas.
