Corey Jones AKA Pogo
Lancaster, Texas
On-Air Talent, Writer, Dj, Producer
Born in the heart of South Oak Cliff, Texas Corey “Pogo” Jones was born the youngest of 8 children to a stay at home mother and a father who worked as a supervisor for The Dallas Morning News. The family made their “come up” out of the hood and into the suburban likes of Lancaster, Texas. Soon after tragedy struck when he lost one of his brothers to leukemia and his father passed away leaving his mother to have to get a job and take care of the family. While his mother worked night shifts Pogo began running the streets like an out of control teen. As jail or death became a possible end result Pogo realized his life needed a positive change. The suburbs is where he learned the better ways of living but his family couldn’t escape the problems of the “ghetto”. Follow him on his journey to embrace his “ghetto culture” while understanding its not where you are from, its where you’re headed in life. Pogo began his creative and writing skills early free styling with local rappers, writing songs, and short stories. In high school he found his way into a journalism class after quitting sports. Soon he realized writing was a raw talent. By his senior year of high school he was the first African American male to be the Editor N Chief of the Lancaster High School Newspaper. After high school he continued his underground rap career opening up several recording studios in the Dallas area and working countless jobs with the general public. His “old soul” personality strived to the top where ever he went and people would always tell him “You sound like you need to be on the radio.” So he took the advice of many and enrolled in The American Broadcasting School where he created his on air show The Jumpp Off. The show is a Hip Hop/R&B format that deals with issues facing the Hip Hop generation from politics, to religion, to relationships, all the way to social trends in the streets. Pogo is the main jock and has plenty of help from his co host The Jump-Out Boyz, Fonksta and Be Love. Of course the show needed a feminine twist so Jacey Love jumped on it. The show also features Chucky Jones, a free lance reporter who brings the daily news in a not so traditional way. Tune in and experience The Jumpp

Percy “Fonksta” Holland started in the world of entertainment back in 1989. Fonksta recorded a solo record called “Precious” As his name and music begin to emerge locally; he was introduced to a local artist named “LaRoyce”, and began recording many other records independently. Fonksta continued networking with many locals including One Gud Cide featuring Twisted Black, E-One and Saucer-Head Entertainment, and BC Records. After Fonksta joined BC Records with an artist named “Melo P” aka Bobby Conley the label began to slowly grow and exposed Fonksta to the Houston market. Fonksta was then introduced to DJ DMD which birthed the hit record “25 Lighters”. Early in 2000 Fonksta became a promoter and produced shows all over Texas. Fonksta created a label of his own called “FonkHouze Entertainment”. Following his uncle Greg Reed (owner of Hit City Record Store in Fort Worth, Texas) Fonksta then opened his own record store called, “Good Tyme Records”. As Fonksta continued having a desire to be apart of the world known business of entertainment, he sought for a different way to get into the business and make a living doing what he loves, “Entertaining the masses”. So Fonksta then turned his attention to radio. In January of 2011, Fonksta enrolled into The American Broadcasting School. While there, Fonksta discussed his dreams and experiences with several of the students attending and that’s when he ran across “Da Jumpp Off Crew”, which features Corey aka Pogo, Baraka aka Be Love, and Cora aka Jacey Love. They all shared the desire to be major in the radio business and decided to give “FishBowl” a chance to be the first to host the Jumpp Off broadcast. Where will Fonksta go from here? Only God knows, but knowing Fonksta, the sky has never been a limit. Bury Me Rich!!
Baracka Barnes AKA Be Love
Cedar Hill, Texas
On-Air Talent , News, Producer
It is with great honor that the recent graduates of The American Broadcasting School class of 2011 present this web site as a portal to there very own internet radio show, The Jumpp Off. The members have various backgrounds and unique experiences but share one belief “In God”, a great recipe for an electric blend of music, personalities and conversations. Baracka Barnes is one quarter of the group who is a native of Texas originally from Houston. Baracka moved to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area in October of 1995. It took all the way until now to discover what he was created to do. He gives all credit to God for leading him to The American Broadcasting School where he met this awesome cast that he is apart of. His on air name is “Be Love”, but it’s more than just a name; it’s a call to action to “Be about”, not just talk about it. Enjoy and God Bless.

Jacey Love is a creative spirit who has been blessed to be the mother of four beautiful children. Her father was a minister and brought her up entertaining the congregation all her life whether it was reading announcements or singing with her two sisters. So it is only natural that she is where she is today in broadcasting. She loves music of all genres. She loves people and she loves to communicate. She met her boys Corey, Percy, and Baracka at The American Broadcasting School and all she can say is “It was love at first speak.”
