"Can I Get A Witness?" is a show that strives to edify the Body of Christ through having difficult dialogue about issues people in the church have, but pretend they don't and are indifferent to the need to discuss them. On "Can I Get A Witness?" we don't strive to reheat the leftovers that many Christian talk shows continue to discuss, instead we strive to foster and facilitate the Kingdom conversations that need to be had. Nothing is off limits and there aren't any sacred cows. Everything is up for dialogue, not debate. The show is comprised of the following segments:
1.) "Come Let Us Reason Together" is the bulk of the show and is where we have the difficult dialogue and keep it real about the "non-issues" within the church and church culture.
2.) "This Little Light of Mine" is where we spotlight churches, ministries, non-profits and businesses of our studio guests and gain exposure to what God is doing in and through them respectively.
2.) "Did You Hear What The Preacher Said?" concludes the show as my studio guests and those listening call in and give a quick snippet and highlights of what was preached at their churches on Sunday.
The host of "Can I Get A Witness?" is Pastor Montreal Dukes, I. Pastor Dukes is a native of Fort Worth, TX. He is a proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University where he met the love of his life, wife, mother of his children and partner in ministry – Lady Edwina West-Dukes. He is also a graduate of Texas Christian University’s Brite Divinity School with a Masters of Divinity with a specialization in Black Church Studies. He accepted the Lord’s call and will for his life in 2003 as a preacher of the Gospel. A proud product of The Rising Star Church of God In Christ under the late Superintendent R.L. Macklin and Greater Strangers Rest Full Gospel Baptist Church under the late Overseer Roy E. West, Pastor Dukes has had exceptional examples of pastors and true men of God. Consequently, it was fitting that in 2008 Pastor Dukes would heed to the voice of God and found Christ Lifters Community of Faith, a non-denominational family church whose motto is "More than just a church...a family of believers."
Pastor Dukes has served as a youth minister, associate pastor and Sunday School teacher. He currently serves as the Southwest Regional Director of Evangelism for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International and as the District Director of Protocol for the Tarrant County District of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International. He is an anointed Servant of God whose passion is teaching the Word of God in relevant, practical, life-changing terms. Pastor Dukes loves God and cannot help, but to love God’s People. A Jeremiah 3:15 pastor, after God’s own heart, he is an under-shepherd who truly cares.
